Christian Life Commission
- The purpose and the responsibility of the Missouri Baptist Convention’s CLC is to educate and to encourage the churches of the MBC to challenge their congregations to the ideal of incarnational living—fleshing out the Christian life in a secular world by being ‘salt and light’. The commission is charged with keeping Missouri Baptists current on issues like Family Life, Human Rights, Moral and Ethical concerns, Citizenship, and Religious liberty.
- The majority of MMO funds received by the CLC are used annually to employ our Missouri Baptist Legislative Liaison who lobbies for issues in Jefferson City that are important to Missouri Baptists. He works at the direction of the CLC to make our presence known at the Capitol and serves to represent MBC views and report back to us where we need to get involved. This has been a great relationship and without MMO monies, we would be unable to serve Missouri Baptists in this way.
- The remainder of the money is used for emphasis Sunday mailings to MBC churches.

Student Ministry
Summer Missions
- This year we had the privilege of training and commissioning 39 summer missionaries who served at 63 different camps and Vacation Bible Schools in partnership with 433 Missouri Baptist churches. As a result of the ministry that took place over those 10 weeks, we saw 163 professions of faith, 88 who renewed their commitment to follow Christ, and 11 church-related vocation decisions. Praise the Lord!
Youth Evangelism & Missions
- Super Summer was held June 14-18, 2010 at HLG and June 21-25, 2010 at SBU. Between the two weeks of ministry there were 522 students and 94 youth leaders from 64 churches were involved in Super Summer along with approximately 90 staff and leaders. As a result of what God did during those two weeks we know of 29 students who surrendered their lives to Christ, 30 students who rededicated their lives to Christ, and five students who committed to serve God in ministry. Our theme this year was FLIP and we challenged students during teaching times on the Beatitudes and then walked through the Gospel during the evening worship times, hearing from Matt Kearns, Bob Caldwell, Ron Cathcart, and Joshua Hedger.
- Three high school students traveled to London for Super Summer Global mission trip July 3-13 through our partnership with iGo Global Ministries. During their time in London, they participated in prayer walking, relational evangelism in local parks, and participated in outreach events to help the local IMB missionaries in their ministry.
- We had a great summer mission project in partnership with Global Encounter Ministries in St. Louis, Missouri and East
- St. Louis, Illinois. There were 62 churches involved with 652 young missionaries and leaders. These missionaries served in 18 ministry sites simultaneously. They shared the Gospel with more than 1,000 people on multiple days and saw 132 people start a relationship with Jesus. Several of those have followed through with Baptism which certainly demonstrates understanding and sincerity. Perhaps as exciting as that were the young missionaries who are our next generation leaders that we had the privilege to train.
